Radical Truths - Week 7

There is no plan B. There is no other way God has chosen to save people outside of his atoning work of his son Jesus on the cross. Additionally, there is no way people will know unless we go and tell them. This should stir in us an urgency to share the gospel! People are dying and heading to an eternity apart from God. Friends, family, co-workers, people around the world that have never heard of Jesus. Do you ever wrestle with this? Saying "Lord, I don't have that urgency. Sometimes, I don't even care to share." What is the remedy? The gospel. Remember who shared the faith with you. Remember who stepped out of their comfort zone to share Christ with you. Remember how you are an undeserving recipient of this marvelous grace! Shouldn't others know and experience this also? Share the gospel, though it may seem uncomfortable or inconvenient - through it you get to experience the intimacy and pleasures of obedience to Christ - for the good of others and the glory of God!

  1. This is a profound truth because so many people believe that if I'm a good person who is generous and loving I can go to heaven. So many people I believe are chasing the wrong thing, Im an indie christian rapper and a minister and ppl @ my job know what i do, there is a dude at my job who raps secular, talks about drugs, sex, killing, the whole 9. Well he keeps telling me how God is going to make him a millionaire by blessing his music because he goes to church and has a "connection" with God. I try to minister to this guy because he's chasing the benefits of God or one benefit and not chasing salvation. God is not going to bless uncleanliness, not gonna happen, I believe we need to reach out to people and let them know, we are in a society where people are scared of the J word, JESUS, there is this new age Christianity that is based in self enlightenment, its basically gnosticism and Buddhism dressed up as Christianity. Knowing the inner spirit and growing, its not of God, the bible says the ONLY way to the Father is through Christ. Peace and GOD bless yall!

  2. FLUID, thanks for sharing your experiences with your co-worker. If I'm being completely honest with myself, before the Holy Spirit changed my heart I was so convinced that there were many ways to God. Everything in our society points to making choices, having options, doing what you want and if you are basically decent all is well. But, Jesus says "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE- NO ONE comes to the Father but through me." That is not easy to digest, but it is true. It was only after my conversion, that I saw my old way of thinking totally diminished the work of Christ on the cross and the beauty of what God did for me through His Son. Hope to hear from you again on this forum!

  3. Mmm. Thats good. Yeah Fluid, continue to confront him with what my buddy calls the "Grace truth grace" sandwich. Lovingly point him back to what the scripture says to begin to show the radical difference between his theology and what God himself has to say about the matter. He may get mad at you, the communicator, if he does not heed what the scriptures teach, but his issue will ultimately be with God himself and his revealed word and not you. You may find yourself in a "how do u know the bible is legit?" argument afterwards lol, but at least there will be someone to challenge his skewed thought process - through it he may reconsider his views, maybe not - but if nobody challenges that world view we'll never know. They will hate u for following Him!
