Radical Truths - Week 8

Paul says "To live is Christ, to die is Gain." Do we believe that? Do we believing that dying is really our gain? Do we believe that the world to come for those who trust on Jesus will be infinitely greater than the American Dream offered here and now? If so, shouldn't that cause us to live differently now? To be people who are radically pursuing Christ to know him, look more like him and make him known? This weeks discussion was super challenging. I hope you are challenged and encouraged this week as you read along with us!

  2. I posted my 1st comment under the wrong video lol, just watched this vid, wow! this video really challenged me....am I willing to die for the work of the Lord, to help others? I can't honestly say yes to that, Im just being honest, but that is what we are called to do. I know many missionaries who have done mission work in the most dangerous of places, Sudan, Israel China, places that saying Jesus will literally get you shot. Its crazy to think about, I saw a video recently of churches in India where the government was sending the police to burn the churches and Christian schools and beat up the pastor, ministers, even children because they were worshiping Christ and not practicing Hinduism. I saw this pastor getting beat down and he kept praising God. That really rocked me, us americans take our right to worship freely for granted sometimes. In some countries you literally sign up to die when you become a Christian. It really begs the question for me, would I be as bold a Christian as I am (or what i think I am at least) if I was in a country that persecuted me for my beliefs? I can't say yes or no, man, and the excerpt that Andy read, wow, that was real bold, and true! I wish more ppl would join in, this has been the best topic so thus far!
